Author Fees

The International Community Health Journal (ICHJ) imposes the following fees for authors:

  • Article Submission Fee: IDR 0,- / USD 0,-
  • Article Processing Charge (APC): IDR 200,000,- / USD 20,-

Following an article's editorial acceptance, the corresponding author, along with any co-authors, funders, institutions, or employers, is obligated to pay the Article Processing Charge (APC). Payment information will be sent through email, as the bank account number for author fees is not made available. This decision was implemented to prevent authors from finalizing APC payments while their submissions are being processed.

Please note that:

  • there is no waiver policy applicable to these fees;
  • editorial or Guest Editorial is free of charge.

ICHJ is a non-profit journal, with the publisher bearing the majority of the publishing expenses. Nevertheless, authors are required to contribute to covering these costs through article processing fees. These fees encompass open access provisions, online tools for both editors and authors, article production and hosting, coordination with abstracting and indexing services, customer support, and website and server maintenance.

APC pricing is regularly assessed and adjusted in response to various factors, including the quality of the journal, the editorial and technical processes involved, competitive dynamics, prevailing market conditions, and additional sources of revenue.

Refunds or credits will not be issued under the following conditions:

  • Article retraction. ICHJ has delivered comprehensive publishing services and can only recover this investment through the Article Processing Charge (APC). The subsequent retraction of the article does not diminish the quality of the publishing services rendered or our commitment to maintaining the scientific record, including perpetual archiving.
  • Article removal. In rare situations where articles are fully withdrawn following acceptance for publication, the Article Processing Charge (APC) will not be subject to refund or credit. This is because ICHJ has delivered publishing services and can only recover its investment through the APC. The subsequent removal of the article does not affect this investment and is typically due to circumstances beyond our control.
  • Delays caused by editorial choices or modifications made by the author. These elements are a customary aspect of the publishing procedure.
  • Circumstances beyond our control. This might refer to circumstances in which we are unable to meet our obligations due to the occurrence of natural disasters or other significant events.
