Editorial Process

Once authors submit a manuscript, they agree that the manuscript has not been published anywhere else, is not being simultaneously submitted to other journals, and has not already been accepted for publication elsewhere, except in the form of an abstract or as part of a published lecture, academic thesis, or archived in an institutional repository or the author's webpage.

Technical Check

Upon submission, the editorial team will perform a technical check for compliance with editorial policies, the journal's instructions for authors, ethical standards, and methodological flaws. At this stage, the journal may reject or accept the manuscript.

Peer Review

The editor will select and invite reviewers. At least two reviewers who accept the invitation will have a maximum of 10 days to review the manuscript. The review is double-anonymized.

Editorial Decisions

The editorial team will consider the reviewers' feedback to reach a decision. At this stage, ICHJ can reject the manuscript and will communicate the result to the author.

Revisions

If the editorial team feels that the manuscript has the potential to enrich the literature, the reviewers' comments and the manuscript will be sent back to the authors for revisions. The editorial team will then check the reviewers' comments and authors' responses and decide on rejection or acceptance.

Accepted Manuscripts

A manuscript that has been accepted will undergo English Proofreading and Galley Proofing before the Letter of Acceptance is issued, and the article is published.
